1. Professional Conduct

A.

Common courtesy is to
be extended to everyone at ALL times. |

B.

Dress neatly, comfortable,
in a Professional manner, which will compliment your judge. |
|
C.
|
Foul, abusive or slanderous
language will NOT be tolerated. |
|
D.
|
Conversation with the
judge should never include information about specific dogs you own and/or
show, comments about dogs judged in the ring, or questioning the judge’s
decisions.1 |
|
E.
|
Eating lunch with the
judges is frowned upon. Clear any request with the Chief Steward. |
|
F.
|
The steward’s book must
be signed and given to the Chief Steward when assignment is completed.
Check the book to verify that all markings have been properly made. |
|
G.
|
Stewards who are showing
dogs are to make note of this on his/her steward’s book back cover. |
|
H.
|
Never leave the building
with the steward’s bag. Leave it with the Show Superintendent. |
|
I.
|
Judges will periodically
be asked to evaluate stewards. Any problem will be discussed individually
with the evaluated steward. |
|
J.
|
Complaining is NOT appropriate,
you are looked upon in the same respect as a judge. |
|
K.
|
Ring problems should be
immediately brought to the attention of the Chief Steward. DO NOT argue
nor contend with judges, show committee nor exhibitors. Call immediately
for the Chief Steward or Superintendent. |
